Today we had Monday must do tasks. One of those specific tasks included us watching a video based off of the meaning of Inferencing. The meaning of Inferencing is something to figure out using clues and evidence in your text or what your reading and taking a guess whether its right or wrong. An example of an inference is, lets say its nearly your birthday and you want a puppy for your birthday gift. But you know there is no way she will even consider gifting one. But one day for shopping your mom makes a shopping list full of things that dogs need or play with, Items such as tennis balls, chew toys, rope, dog food, etc. Then you realise you are getting a dog for your birthday based off the clues and evidence you’ve recieved in the shopping, that is inferencing.
Vocab Pyramids
This weeks must do task for reading was an activity based on our vocab. This activity helped me alot. At first the word epitomy, I was unsure of what the diffenition of this word could be but during this task I was able to understand exactly what it meant. We had many different words based out of our school values. Words such as fun, integrity, respect and so forth. I manage to finish this task on time before morning tea.
Carla’s Sandwich
On Thursday during reading time, we had to do 2 tasks since we were not with teacher that day. The 2 tasks we had to do were, first Studdyladder and read to self. I decided to read Carla’s Sandwich for that activity. This story is about, how different each person can be and its ok to be different.
